Cashew buyers commonly compare whole-kernel grades including W180, W210, W240, W320 and W450. The grade is an important commercial specification, but buyers should also evaluate the intended use, visual presentation, packing, quantity and overall landed commercial proposition.
How buyers should compare grades
Premium presentation programs may prefer larger whole kernels, while mainstream retail, wholesale and foodservice programs may prioritize a different balance of appearance and cost. The right choice depends on the buyer's channel and target customer.
W180 and W210
These are larger whole-kernel classifications and may be considered where visual presentation is especially important. Availability and quotation should be confirmed for the actual requirement.
W240 and W320
These are frequently evaluated by importers for retail, wholesale and foodservice programs. Buyers should compare the commercial quotation together with pack format and end-market positioning.
W450
W450 provides another whole-kernel option for buyers whose application and price positioning suit the grade. Final specifications should be agreed before ordering.
